ABOUT THE FORUM

The PMO Forum acts as an invitation-only Interest Group of Project Management South Africa (PMSA) and is sponsored by PwC.

The forum presents a regular opportunity for discussion and knowledge transfer by means of case studies, best practices, research outcomes and lessons learned presented by senior project professional and other knowledgeable individuals who form part of the forum or may be invited as presenters. There are no costs involved for attendees as the event is sponsored. Each meeting is dedicated to a specific topic where a subject matter expert introduces the topic in a 45-60 min talk and we then have structured conversations around the topic in smaller groups.

   ABOUT THE EVENT

During the session, Diane Norton will share some information on introductory coaching skills, illustrating how these are applicable to project management. She will share her insights and facilitate discussions on specific project management situations in which these skills can significantly improve success in stakeholder management thereby enabling greater project management and thus PMO success.

Diane has extensive experience in large scale programme management and organisational change/transformation. Her particular strengths include Stakeholder Relationship Management across all levels in the organisation, having worked closely with C-level executives to implement their strategy. She has an MA Industrial Psychology and an MPhil Informatics in IS. She is passionate about pulling these worlds of people and technology together to improve effectiveness, and reduce stress in the workplace.
