PMSA National Conference 2021 |
ABOUT THE CONFERENCEThere is no denying the changing world we live in. In order to survive and even prosper, it is necessary to be aware of and adapt to the changes to avoid getting left behind or even becoming extinct. This is also true for the way we think and interpret events around us. Not only has the reason for doing projects changed in many organisations, the way we conceptualise and manage them have also changed. Projects have become more complex in nature due to the unpredictability of events, the need for shorter cycles between ideation and results and shrinking resource pools. Over time it has become clear that there are various approaches that can be taken to lead projects, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. In general, there is a gradual move away from a mechanistic approach towards a more dynamic one that caters for changes in the environment. This requires a new way of thinking and doing. The conference provides a platform for practitioners, scholars and enthusiasts to share experiences, thoughts and ideas on how the world is changing and its effects on project leadership. Knowledge has become the key to survival and as a community, there is a need to share with one another. Only by sharing experiences we can collectively advance. This year’s conference is therefore dedicated to the evolution of project leadership. Contributions are invited to help chart the future for project professionals. Attendance certificates will be emailed after the conference for the claiming of PDU’s. |
