PMSA Western Cape invites you to the first of our monthly events for 2017. The talk will be presented by our very own Marko Divak and is titled 'The Currency of Time'. We look forward to seeing you there.
ABOUT THE TALK
We all say this at some point: ‘I will do that someday, when I have more time’. But we should know better; we should know that we cannot make more time as we already have all the time we are ever going to get. And since the clock never stops ticking, ‘someday’ we will have even less than today.
Time is the most valuable currency that ever existed, worth much more than money, gold or diamonds. At the start of each day, we are all given the same amount of time, no exceptions here. Yet most of us are extremely careless about this precious resource.
However, you can learn how to stop sending signals to everyone that your time is not valuable, you can learn how to stop wasting other people’s time and most importantly, to do everything you can in order to spend your time in a way that counts. Join us for this informative and practical talk in order to learn how treating time with respect can change your life and the lives of those around you.
Facilitated by Marko Divak, PMP, PMSA Commitee Member
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Short Bio:
Marko Divac, PMP
Marko is a certified Project Manager and an Information Technology Professional with experience spanning Financial Services, Software, Telecommunications, Banking, Distribution and Retail industries.
Born and raised in his native Serbia, he immigrated to South Africa in 1993, where he started an Information Technology company with the focus on services, software development and training. After earning his dual bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Information Systems, he sold his company and went on to further his education (you’ve guessed it right: more Computer Science, earning him the BSc Honours degree from Wits university). This resulted in getting him permanently stuck in the IT world, which somehow turned out to be what he enjoys doing. He started his career on a very technical note and over the years gradually changed focus to project management, while keeping in touch with the technical side of things. His journey took him through many different landscapes: from working for himself, to the corporate world, to chasing big dreams in a start-up and back to the corporate world again.
