ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dieter Jansen

Dieter Jansen has led teams, from factory floor to executive level, for over 20 years. His experience spans the research, armaments, manufacturing, and IT consulting industries. In all these roles he has applied value-based leadership principles and can attest to the impact these have. Dieter believes that leadership is less about techniques, and more about who we are, and continued personal growth is a necessary requirement for continued effective leadership. He currently practices as a John Maxwell Certified Executive Life Coach, and has developed a program together with his business partner, Elouise Beukes, where he takes corporate exec teams and individuals through a 48hr journey of discovery to fully design their business direction. This program has recently received an endorsement from the John Maxwell Team president, Paul Martinelli.

ABOUT THE TALK

When we talk about time management, we immediately think about some tips and techniques to manage a bucket of "stuff" that’s already overfull. Between emails, meetings, targets and responsibilities, it’s difficult to see how one could possibly do more. So how do the big names like Branson, Musk, Buffet, etc. manage to accomplish so much that they become the inspirational leaders that we look up to? Have they somehow managed to gain more time so that they have days longer than 24hrs?

Rather than more tips and tricks, this talk introduces a mindset concept to time management that describes a journey from being overwhelmed to being inspirational – not only in financial and business terms, but also in life terms. But it does come at a cost, and that cost can be high, depending on what you want to achieve.
