ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dieter Jansen

Dieter Jansen has led teams, from factory floor to executive level, for over 20 years.  His experience spans the research, armaments, manufacturing, and IT consulting industries.  In all these roles he has applied value-based leadership principles and can attest to the impact these have.  Dieter believes that leadership is less about techniques, and more about who we are, and continued personal growth is a necessary requirement for continued effective leadership.   He currently practices as a John Maxwell Certified Executive Life Coach.

ABOUT THE TALK

Various well researched models exist to explain the process of change, and how to bring about a change that lasts.  Many projects have change management teams deploy to ensure that this occurs.  And yet the truth is that many projects struggle to yield the desired value due to change management issues.

This talk takes the attendees back to first principles to understand the basis of resistance to change, and to show that it is a well-known and predictable effect.  An alternative, yet familiar, view of the responsibilities associated with change management will be suggested.  The talk promises to be thought-provoking, and accentuates how everyone on a project team can contribute to successful change.
