TOPIC: Lean Project Delivery: The Future of Project Management
Project management has become a buzzword over the past 20 years,
especially since the publication of the first edition of the
PMBOK® guide in 1996. In this time, it has both become popular
and become ossified. New “Lean” concepts of project management
are developing and proving to be significant improvements over
the “generally recognized good practices” that are described in
the PMBOK® Guide. Please join us to discuss how to start the Lean
journey in project management, including such things as:
• Improving project management by using Lean processes
• The conceptual underpinnings of Lean project management
• Understanding the origins and goals of Lean
• How Lean affects the future of project management
