ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Congratulations to Moses Chiropa, the winner of the PMSA Masters in Project Management dissertation prize for 2019. 

Moses Chiropa is a construction project manager with over nine (9) years working in the built environment sector in South Africa. Moses obtained his MSc in Project Management from University of Cape Town (2018) and also possesses a BSc Honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe (2010). He is a registered Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) with the South African Council of Project & Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and a registered Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). He has worked in various Engineering and Building Contracts and has vast experience both within the private and public sector.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The construction industry is regarded as being amongst the most important industries within the economy of South Africa and yet still some construction projects exceed their budgets, run late or fail to meet their objectives. Focus will be on the factors hindering the delivery of successful construction projects and also the applicability of the current project implementation profile (PIP) tool to the modern construction industry.  The identified gaps and list of the critical success factors in delivering construction projects will be shared.
