ABOUT THE EVENT
Project management principles and system engineering principles are similar and this fundamental understanding of the world of project management can be applied to address the lack of coherence between the different types of project assessments data and outcomes, resulting in informed decisions on capital and cost optimisation from assessment outliers.
During this presentation by Danie Du Plooy, Senior Consultant in Project Management for the Eskom National Project Management Office (NPMO) Group Division attendees can expect the following outcomes:
1. How to analyse and understand the causal relationships/dependencies of project elements and variables for sound business decisions.
2. Determine the extent to which data analytics can be applied to explain the various project assessment tool’s outcomes to find the origin and development of an occurrence, based on historical trends and to make a prediction of a repetitive occurrence in the future to guide business decisions.
3. How data analytics can be applied to guide business decisions.
