ABOUT THE PMO FORUM
Please note: This forum is invitation only.
The PMO Forum acts as an Interest Group of Project Management South Africa (PMSA) and is sponsored by PwC. The invitation only forum meets every two months and the events take place at the PwC Waterfront offices.
There are no costs involved for attendees as the event is sponsored. Each meeting is dedicated to a specific topic where a subject matter expert introduces the topic in a 45-60 min talk and we then have structured conversations around the topic in smaller groups.
Forum membership includes:
• PMO practitioners who enable, support and ensure the delivery of change at a project/programme/portfolio level
• Senior project and programme managers interested in getting a better understanding of how their PMOs can contribute to improved delivery and realisation of organisational value
• People in senior leadership positions who are interested in getting a better understanding of the services offered by PMOs and the potential benefits for their organisation
• People in strategy or business change enablement functions/positions who form the critical link between strategy planning and execution.

ABOUT THE EVENT
This presentation argues that the PMO must provide governance frameworks; facilitate stakeholder networks; and support the coordination of activities with role based stakeholders. Its role with respect to agenda-based stakeholders is much less clear. Here, PMO effort should ensure the project community recognises and has the competence to analyse and engage appropriately.
This presentation draws on ideas presented in Louise Worsley's book on Stakeholder-led project management: Changing the way we manage projects.

Her book, Stakeholder-led project management: Changing the way we manage projects, was released in October 2016
