PMSA Western Cape invites you to a presentation by Jacques Myburgh, titled: Monitoring and Evaluating Projects and Programs: A Stakeholder Perspective, on Tuesday morning 17th September 2013. 1st October 2013 ABOUT THE FACILITATOR - Jacques Myburgh After earning his B degree in Information Systems & Geology at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa in 1990, Jacques began work in the ICT Industry. Over the years he performed several roles, including that of software developer, database administrator, project & program manager, project office manager, business & process specialist and management consultant. In 2004 he completed an MBA at Oxford-Brookes University in the UK, with subjects focusing on strategic marketing management, and the dissertation on change facilitation using CG Jung's psychological type and emotional intelligence. Jacques' main interest lies in management coaching, business intelligence (transforming data to information to knowledge to wisdom) and behaviour during change. He currently works at T-Systems South Africa (Pty) Ltd, the largest ICT company in the country. In the world of coaching, Jacques brands himself as an Existential Coach, assisting people to create new meaning during the life stage of midlife. His current research is in the efficiency and effectiveness of coaching (as part of a master's degree in Management Coaching at the University of Stellenbosch Business School), and in the dynamics of midlife coaching. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP Using a results-based evaluation framework to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of a project with a Stakeholders perspective.
This workshop: • Introduces the results-based evaluation framework, how it monitors efficiency and evaluates effectiveness, • Reviews stakeholder management, • Describes the process of designing an impact-map to ensure stakeholder satisfaction, and • Provides a practical opportunity to implement the framework on a current or planned project
On completion of the workshop, you will be able to: • Describe the difference between monitoring and evaluation, • Distinguish between project stakeholders, in a wide and narrow sense, • Map project activities through to results, and • Document the relationships in your project between deliverables, project outcomes, performance indicators, and impact on stakeholders.
