SOS – A Sense of Safety as a strategy for supporting mental, physical and social wellbeing of teams and leaders to enable project delivery and team effectiveness. This time of crisis has impacted everyone in the world. We recognise that we are in this storm together, however, that each of us are sailing different and unique boats based on our individual and social contexts. This means we each have different capacities and tools to cope, based on how we are set up and what is happening in and around us within our environments of work and life. Change is non-negotiable in our daily behaviours of protecting ourselves from harm and changing the way we live and work. The need for rapid change can feel like both an onslaught and opportunity, and our resilience – to avoid burnout and become more stress proof – to sail our boats effectively is essential to create a Sense of Safety get us over perceived threats. In this conversation we will focus on – - Gaining an understanding of what your team really needs from you as leader in this time of crisis and virtual reality.

Mandy Carlson, Founder I Coach I Consultant for carlson ‘Thanks to findings in the field of contemporary neuroscience, there are validated and valuable insights about the brain-body-self system, and how we can use these insights to positively impact wellbeing and effectiveness of people, teams and organisations.’ Mandy Carlson is founder of the carlson business and works with teams, leaders and individuals in the areas of neuroscience-based coaching, change consulting, and organisational development. Mandy is a certified coach with Neurozone as well as Results Coaching (an ICF-accredited course) through the Neuroleadership Institute, and has an honours degree in Organisational Psychology. She continually studies in fields of interest having recently just completed Neuroscience of Change Programme with Coaches Rising, and in addition to learning experiences, she loves art, design, and anything that positively impacts environmental sustainability.
