PMSA - KZN Branch will be hosting a mini-workshop on the 29 Oct 2019. In support and promotion for the upcoming National Conference taking place in Johannesburg on 13 & 14 November 2019 - THE COMPLETE PROJECT MANAGER. Please join us to unpack the reality of project management at our monthly gathering at the end of this month. This will be a discussion where everyone will have a chance to express their understanding and experience and or expectations of a "Project Manager".

Topic:  WHAT IS ADEQUATE PROJECT MANAGEMENT, AND WHO IS A PROJECT MANAGER.

In this session we will discuss the roles and responsibilities of a "Project Manager" as perceived by the stakeholders versus what literature explains. This is an informal discussion to unpack the practical experiences of Project Managers and Project Management. We will discuss who is a project manager and what is adequate project management.

Jack of all trades, master of none, - how applicable is this statement. Is the Project Manager a:

- Process specialist

- Single point of blame

- Audit and Governance expert

- Project secretary

- Change expert...etc.

Project management is constantly evolving, requiring the Project Manager to be innovative and relevant. How Project Managers prioritize and balance their private life and work-life while keeping up with changing Project Management environment.
