ABOUT THE FORUM
The PMO Forum acts as an invitation-only Interest Group of Project Management South Africa (PMSA) and is sponsored by Project Portfolio Office (PPO).
The forum presents a regular opportunity for discussion and knowledge transfer by means of case studies, best practices, research outcomes and lessons learned presented by senior project professional and other knowledgeable individuals who form part of the forum or may be invited as presenters. There are no costs involved for attendees as the event is sponsored. Each meeting is dedicated to a specific topic where a subject matter expert introduces the topic in a 45-60 min talk and we then have structured conversations around the topic in smaller groups. |

REGISTRATION
Forum membership includes:
• PMO practitioners who enable, support and ensure the delivery of change at a project/programme/portfolio level
• Senior project and programme managers interested in getting a better understanding of how their PMOs can contribute to improved delivery and realisation of organisational value
• People in senior leadership positions who are interested in getting a better understanding of the services offered by PMOs and the potential benefits for their organisation
• People in strategy or business change enablement functions/positions who form the critical link between strategy planning and execution.

The unavoidable word associated with PMOs is ‘value’. Do we really need a PMO? What is the PMO’s strategic contribution? Can our organisation critically examine the value of your PMO through effective measurement? Surprisingly, despite these being common questions, PMO’s are notoriously bad at providing a proper answer. True to nature we focus on doing the work, getting delivery out the door, and neglect the all-important task of understanding, tracking and reporting on the actual value we are mandated to bring to the organisation.

Join us for the next facilitated session as Ninell Robinson, Barclays, Project Programme & Portfolio Management Professional, using a real-life case study for the Absa Finance PMO leads the discussion and explores the challenges and successes on their journey to prove value. Ninell will discuss the definition for the concept of value, provide a few basic principles to guide the definition and the measurement and reporting there-of within your organisation
Through interactive table discussions, delegates will be presented with structured questions to share challenges and successes from your own environment, and together explore pragmatic solutions on how to address the “value” question more objectively.
